How the site is organised
Three kinds of page. Duration pages open with a fixed length loaded — useful to bookmark. Use-case pages load a sensible default for the task and explain how people usually run it. Hub pages, like this one, exist to get you to the right timer in one click.
Every one of them uses the same engine, so the controls never change between pages.
Questions about the timers here
Which timer should I use if I am not sure?
Start with the online timer — it opens blank and takes any length you type. Move to a specific page once you notice which length you keep setting.
Can I use it at work, in a gym or in a classroom?
Yes, without restriction. Project it, put it on a shared screen, or link to it — there is no licence to buy and no commercial-use limit.
Does the countdown drift if I leave it in the background?
No. Browsers deliberately slow down background tabs to save battery, which makes naive timers lose minutes over an hour. This one compares against the system clock on every update, so what you get at the end is the length you asked for.
